Mitchell, McNutt & Sams maintains an active summer associate program which is the principal source of hiring for entry level attorneys. A summer clerkship at MM&S provides opportunities for future attorneys which include research, writing, the drafting of pleadings and other documents, as well as attendance at depositions, trials, hearings, client conferences, closings, and other important client contacts. Every effort is made to allow summer associates to work with as many attorneys as possible in a variety of practice areas. Mitchell, McNutt & Sams routinely recruits at the University of Mississippi, Mississippi College, and Alabama Schools of Law. Additionally, Mitchell, McNutt & Sams is open to opportunities with experienced attorneys whose expertise is compatible with the expanded practice areas of the firm. Over the years there have been numerous quality additions to the firm through lateral hirings which have benefited the firm and its clients.
