Contact Douglas Ford
Douglas is a shareholder of the firm resident in the firm's Columbus office, practicing in the state and federal courts in Mississippi and Alabama. Douglas has vast experience in litigation, mediation, and contract negotiations. A large part of his practice involves representing individuals in divorce, child custody and other family law matters; his extensive knowledge and experience in this area of the law led to his induction as a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Douglas also represents various companies in litigation, regulatory and administrative matters, including serving as general counsel for a software company and several rural electric cooperatives in Mississippi. Douglas has successfully tried numerous cases in Mississippi and Alabama on behalf of individuals and companies. His hobbies include golf, hunting and fishing.
